We are delighted to present the new HRH16 to you today. In addition, you will learn why our tried-and-true hose reel can make your everyday household cleaning operations more efficient and easier, and you will benefit from a lot of other interesting news from the world of enz®.

1    What's new at enz®?

1.1.1    Pipe and channel cleaning (<350 bar, <5,000 psi)

1.1.2    New addition to the rotating nozzle product line: The HRH16
The semi-radial rotating enz® nozzles, with four retroacting cutting jets at an angle of 45°, combine rotation and thrust in one function; this means that they clean, while driving the nozzle forward at the same time. If the water quantity is sufficient, the tools can also be equipped with thrust jets. The HRH16 (product number 02.016) is easy with bends and stands out by achieving a high level of traction with a minimal amount of water. Thanks to the nozzle jet angles, the HRH16 is particularly well-suited for removing hair roots of up to approximately Ø5 mm / 0.2″, semi-hard limescale, cement slurry, and grease deposits.
Alongside the HRH, you will also find the KBR and our vibration nozzles for household applications in our product line. These are particularly well-suited for cleaning grease and urine scale in kitchens and bathrooms.

1.1.2.1    Optimizing our safetyliners
People working in pipe and channel cleaning are used to a high degree of risk. Serious accidents are fairly common. We took it upon ourselves to minimize this risk, and we optimized our safetyliner product line with this goal in mind. The long thread on the safetyliner (product number 97.075-100) was causing the thrust nozzles to become blocked. Therefore, starting immediately, the safetyliner will be delivered with a threaded ring and a VDS seal. This prevents it from being screwed in too deeply, and guarantees that the nozzle will operate at peak performance.

1.1.3    3/8″ channel cleaning nozzle with front jet
After a long wait, we have now added the 3/8″ channel cleaning nozzles (35.038 and 35.038N) with front jet to our product range. They will assist you with noticeable force when unclogging clogged pipes or when you need forward thrust.

1.1.4    3/8″ pointed nozzle with ceramic inserts
If you like to work with the 3/8″ hose to achieve higher flushing capacity, then you can now order the 3/8″ pointed nozzle (60.038 and 60.038N) with ceramic inserts. This modification means that you can achieve 40% more power with the same amount of pressure!

1.2    Industrial cleaning (>350 bar, 5,000 psi)

1.2.1    Moving ahead with up to 1,500 bar pressure: The UC09 with outer thread!
enz® UC nozzles (cross jet nozzles) are indispensable when cleaning industrial heat exchangers and completely clogged pipes with a diameter of 12 to 42 mm / 0.5 to 1.6″. The forward-facing cross jets cut away the material like a milling cutter, while the side jets polish the pipe all around. And this isn’t the only reason all our UC nozzles have many applications. The UC09, for example, has been equipped with a new stator with a 5/16″-24-UNF outer thread. This change means the nozzle has easier handling, while the new thread increases the field of application. The UC09 can be ordered with or without thrust nozzles, depending on whether you are working with or without robots or manually. All UC nozzles are now available with a rounded nozzle head, which prevents it from becoming stuck at angles or in corners.

1.2.2    JetCalc: Now a web app!
Our proven JetCalc program is now available to you as a modern web app. From now on, you have the option of running your nozzle calculations on all smartphones and conventional PCs. The JetCalc app will replace the current version of JetCalc by the end of 2019. If you have any questions, contact your sales partner or your usual enz® advisor.

2    enz® tips

2.1    Hose reel
When performing household cleaning operations, such as in the kitchen or the bathroom, the high-pressure hose can leave soiling behind in the living space. This is annoying not only for the home occupant, but also for the cleaning company responsible for it. Hose reels for high-pressure hoses are excellently suited for minimizing the risk of soiling. Using the hose reel, you can roll up the high-pressure hose right in the bathroom or in the kitchen during and after cleaning, preventing unnecessary soiling elsewhere in the home. This also greatly simplifies handling the hoses during hydrodynamic cleaning in household environments.
In our comprehensive range of accessories, you will find not only the new hose reel, but also the high-pressure hoses and the hand adapters that go with it.

2.2    High-pressure hoses
In the enz® high-pressure hose product line, you will find hoses with a length of up to 30 m / 98 ft that have a 1/4″ connecting thread and a diameter of DN8 (5/16″).  These hoses come with very short fittings and are also permitted for use at up to 250 bar / 3,600 psi. The larger interior hose diameter of DN8 (5/16″) means less pressure loss, which saves you time and money.

3    Maintenance

Think about it: Clogged nozzles impair the cleaning effect and increase the risk of working with a water pressure that is too high. Therefore, the nozzle inserts must be inspected at regular intervals. Nozzle wear will depend on the level of contamination in the water used. If recycled water is being used, then the nozzle inserts need to be inspected and cleaned with a nozzle cleaning set daily. Particularly for nozzles that are stored in water, we recommend regular treatment with MOTOREX. You can achieve the same effect by thoroughly cleaning them with an environmentally friendly cleaning agent.
